Various factors affecting the discoloration and fading of garment fabrics:

(1) Pests and moulds.
(2) Hydrolysis and oxidation of finishing agents and dyes occur due to the effects of sunlight and moisture. If sulfuric acid is released during dyeing with sulfur dyes, the fibers will become brittle.
(3) The effect of residues on fibers, such as the oxidation of residual chlorine.
(4) The yellowing of fabrics, such as silk fabrics and nylon fabrics, is caused by the oxidation of air.
(5) Fabric yellowing due to deterioration of finishing agents such as fluorescent whitening agents.
(6) Fabric yellowing due to light or heat in storage environment.
(7) Fading of dyed fabrics due to sublimation of dyes.
(8) Fabric discoloration is caused by oxidation of oils and evaporation of residual solvents.

Because the influence degree of various fabrics is different, different factors should be considered in the storage of different fabrics.
1, cotton and linen garments
Nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; before storage in wardrobe or polyethylene bag, it should be dried and stored separately in dark and light colors. Wardrobes and polyethylene bags should be dry, and camphor should be placed inside (wrapped in paper, not in direct contact with clothing) to prevent clothes from getting bored.
2. Woolen garments
Nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; should be placed in a dry place. When plush or sweater trousers are mixed and stored, they should be wrapped in clean cloth or paper so as not to stain other clothes with plush. It's better to ventilate once or twice a month to prevent moths. All kinds of woolen clothing should be suspended and stored in the wardrobe. When put into the box, the back of the clothes should be facing out to prevent fading, weathering and wind prints.
3, chemical fiber clothing
Nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; this kind of clothing should be laid flat, and should not be hung in the cabinet for a long time to avoid stretching due to draping. If blended with natural fibers, a small amount of camphor balls can be added (do not contact clothes directly).
4, leather clothing
Nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; Leather is too dry, easy to crack, but not firm after dampness, so leather clothing should not only prevent excessive drying, but also moisture, and can not wear leather clothing as raincoat. If there is a dry crack on the leather surface, it can be filled with paraffin and ironed flat with an iron. If the coat is mildewed, you can brush off the mildew first, and then apply the polishing paste of the epithelial leather.
