Yarn dyeing methods: yarn (including filament) dyeing has a history of nearly a thousand years, and has been used for a long time for skein dyeing. It was not until 1882 that the first patent for tube dyeing was granted in the world, and then there was warp-axis dyeing.

1: skein dyeing
The dyeing of staple yarn or filament by dipping in various dyeing machines is the dyeing of the staple yarn or filament on the spinning frame. Since there have been many monographs on skein dyeing before, this book will not be repeated.
Two: cheese dyeing
The staple yarn or filament is wound on the tube with holes (requiring proper and uniform winding density, commonly known as & ldquo; loosening drum & rdquo); and then it is set on the dyeing column (also known as flat plate, hanger, frame, etc.) of the dyeing machine-borne yarn (also known as yarn bamboo, spindle rod, insertion rod, etc.) and put into the tube dyeing machine with the function of the main pump to make the dyeing liquid in the dyeing machine. Cylinder yarn or fibers penetrate through the cycle to achieve dyeing in the form of cylinder dyeing.
Three: warp dyeing
According to the requirement of color phase and quantity of dyed fabric warp yarn, the original yarn is wound on a perforated coil in a loosen warping machine to form a loosen warp axle (which can be regarded as a large tube), then installed on the yarn carrier of the dyeing machine and put into the warp axle dyeing machine. With the function of the main pump, the dyeing liquid can penetrate and circulate between the warp axle yarns or fibers to realize dipping dyeing. The method of obtaining uniform warp yarns is called warp spindle dyeing.
Four: warp roller pad dyeing
Warp-axis pad dyeing is mainly used in the production and processing of denim with color warp and white weft. It introduces a certain number of dilute axes into each dyeing tank and realizes the dyeing of indigo (or sulphide, reduction, direct, paint) dyes after repeated multiple dipping, rolling and ventilation oxidation. After pre-drying and sizing, warp-spindle yarns with uniform color can be obtained, which can be directly used for weaving. The dyeing trough of warp pad dyeing can be multiple (sheet machine) or one (ring machine). The equipment used in combination with sizing is called sheet dyeing and sizing machine.
5. Pad dyeing of yarn bundles (ball warp dyeing)
This is also a special dyeing method for denim warp yarn. The dyeing process is that 400-500 original yarns are clustered into spheres, and then several bundles (such as 12 bundles, 18 bundles, 24 bundles, 36 bundles) of yarns are repeatedly soaked, rolled and ventilated in multiple dyeing tanks to achieve indigo dyeing, warp separation and sizing. Acrylic tows can also be pad dyed.
Sixth: Special dyeing method of yarn
Like fabrics, yarns also have local dyeing, such as segmental, segmental, tie-dyeing, printing, discharge, gradient and so on.

According to the design requirement, a small section (e.g. 0.5-1 cm) of color is printed on the spread yarn every set distance, which can be the same color, but most of them are five colors. It must be noted that the spacing must be irregular and unequal, otherwise the cloth surface will appear & ldquo; tortoise back & rdquo; or & ldquo; landscape painting & rdquo;.
2, section dyeing
A number of dyes are dripped at different parts of the unfolded yarn at the same time. After vacuum suction or rolling, the dyes are fixed and washed. Compared with the printing section, the color segment is longer, the white yarn spacing is smaller, and even the adjacent two colors will appear on the yarn & ldquo; color matching & rdquo;. Segment dyed yarn is widely used in knitted fabrics.
3, tie dye
The part of the yarn is tied up with rope (or wrapped with plastic film) and then dyed. As a result, the tightened part is left blank, and the tied part is bleached from deep to light, and the unbound part is evenly colored, so the product has special charm.
4, printing (seal printing)
This method is generally used to produce warp-printing woven fabrics. Printing patterns on warp yarns (weft yarns do not print), the product style is hazy, like flowers but not flowers. In warp printing, fake knitting (knitting is printing before warping, woven is warping & mdash; fake Knitting & mdash; printing) can also be printed directly on warp, such as synthetic warp can be printed on transfer printing machine.
5. Gradual dyeing (colorful silk)
The different parts of the hank yarn (silk) are dipped in dyeing solution for different time, so that each frame of yarn presents a gradual change of color from shallow to deep without obvious boundary, such as traditional Chinese embroidery seven-color silk yarn. In addition, there are half-edge dyeing, spray point dyeing, single yarn continuous dipping dyeing and so on.
