This principle is used in waterproof processing, in which various chemical materials are attached to the surface of the fabric with a superfine layer of & ldquo; needle bed & rdquo; so that the surface tension of the fabric is less than the cohesion of the water, so the water droplets will roll away rather than spread out and soak. If the needle bed structure is flattened or infiltrated by oil pollution, the anti-splashing ability of the fabric will be greatly reduced, and even begin to absorb water.

Functional treatment to prevent water infiltration, now waterproof treatment often uses waterproof membrane to prevent water molecules from penetrating, but the film itself is too fragile, so it can achieve waterproof function only by the cooperation of surface cloth, film and inner.
