The technology of comprehensive utilization of waste textiles is relatively backward. There are not many enterprises that can recycle waste textiles with high value. There are still many gaps in laws, regulations and supporting policies of waste textiles.

At the raw material end, the old domestic polyester bottle cleaning process - ldquo; low dirt - rdquo; has not yet been fundamentally rectified, and has the potential to spread and grow. In the face of these formats, normative recycling enterprises are facing relatively high policy costs such as environmental protection, taxation and labor services, and are facing great competition pressure. At the same time, recycled polyester staple fiber enterprises have a large demand for recycled raw materials, and the quality requirements of raw materials are relatively not as high as those of recycled filaments, which is the main force affecting the price trend of recycled raw materials. Recycled polyester filament enterprises have little voice over recycled raw materials. Particularly noteworthy is that since 2018, the state has banned the import of waste plastics. Opening the import of PET net sheets has not been implemented due to the implementation of industry standards. This makes the domestic supply of old polyester bottles and PET bottles tight, and the price rises. Especially in the fourth quarter, the price of recycled polyester bottles is close to or even higher than that of original polyester chips.
Chen Hao further pointed out that from the point of view of the recycled chemical fiber industry itself, there are also some problems to be solved, including: the complex material of old polyester bottles makes it difficult to guarantee the quality of recycled bottles; the contradiction between the great difference in viscosity and color of recycled bottles and the yearly improvement of the quality requirements of recycled polyester filaments is more prominent; the raw materials of recycled polyester are diverse, mixed and direct. Low utilization rate, bottleneck in improving enterprise's independent technology, longer production process, more labor and difficult cost control of recycled polyester fibers, etc.
All-round promotion of high-quality industry development

Chen Hao introduced that in the past two years, facing the new competition challenges of chemical fibre giants and the demand of high-end customers for recycled products, the company has carried out flexible transformation of the original large devices to adapt to the new pattern of multi-varieties and small batches of order-based customization production. At the same time, efforts should be made to improve the product differentiation rate, research and development, production of non-uniform cross-section shrinkage, lustrous and non-ferrous, mainly functional, including recycled polyester POY, FDY, DTY product series.
Reporters also learned that Haiyan Haili has taken measures in the face of the shortage of raw materials faced by domestic recycling enterprises since this year. The company has established a PET bottle network covering three provinces and one city in the Yangtze River Delta region, established more than 20 self-operated recycling stations and more than 300 cooperative recycling outlets, and formed an annual recycling capacity of 150,000 tons of polyester bottles.
