As the Sino-US trade war intensified and continued, leading textile manufacturers, such as Zhan Zhengtian, Chairman of the Textile Development Council, Wu Dongsheng, Hou Boming, Chairman of Nanfang and Hong Zhenhai, Chairman of Ruhong, were worried about expanding their influence when they attended this year's Taiwan Textile Fair on the 16th. They are more conservative than this year's and expect to grow moderately and steadily next year.



In Europe and the United States, the revival of the boom, global brand apparel inventory has come to a close, 2018 is the best year for domestic textile mills in the past three years.



Zhan Zhengtian and Hou Boming believe that, from the current situation of orders received by most textile mills, although the impact of the Sino-US trade war on the next year's prosperity is small, the overall industrial environment should still be moderate growth or moderate rise.



Zhan Zhengtian pointed out that Taiwan's functional textile supply chain has become a leader in the global apparel industry and a major supplier of the market. Although global purchasers may face a slowing down of the boom caused by the Sino-US trade war, considering the integrity and centralization of supply, Taiwan's textile industry should still be positively ordered.



Nanfang is cautiously optimistic about Vietnam's market trend. Hou Boming pointed out that the third phase of the local Prince Dragon II plant will be carried out by the end of the year, and 20,000 spindles of new machinery and equipment will be invested and installed. It is expected to be put into operation before the third quarter of next year.



Wu Dongsheng believes that the Sino-US trade war will affect the expectations and hesitations of business decision-makers about the future prosperity, thus weakening the single-handedness; in addition, the recent boom has reached a peak, and growth momentum will slow down at a high level in the base period, so the next year's boom should be in a conservative and pessimistic way.



Hong Zhenhai, chairman of Ruhong, a cloth and garment manufacturer, pointed out that the Sino-US trade war will prolong the wait-and-see time of global brand purchasers and increase the factors considered, which will certainly affect the speed and strength of decision makers to place orders. The textile industry may grow steadily next year.



Hong Zhenhai believes that in the face of competition next year, different industrial chains and individual manufacturers can only "climb mountains with brothers and make their own efforts". Products with distinctive characteristics and innovative enterprises can maintain growth momentum.



Xu Xudong, the new chairman of the Far East, said that the Sino-US trade war had an overall impact on the global prosperity. Although the talks between the two sides were not smooth, such a situation should not last too long, let alone break the bloodstream. After all, it would affect all the citizens of the earth. To a certain extent, it would slow down. Therefore, the prosperity of the textile industry next year will be affected. Or cautiously optimistic.
