While China's foreign trade is expanding in scale, its quality is also improving. Zou Zhiwu said that in the past ten years, China's foreign trade has gradually moved from a high-speed development stage to a high-quality development stage, & ldquo; China's creation & rdquo; has gradually emerged. In 1995, the export of mechanical and electrical products took the place of textiles and clothing for the first time as the largest export commodity, marking the transformation of China's export commodities from labor-intensive to capital-technology-intensive. In 2003, for the first time, the export of mechanical and electrical products accounted for the total value of China's exports - ldquo; half of the country's exports - rdquo; and in 2011, the export of mechanical and electrical products exceeded the trillion-dollar mark.

Zou Zhiwu said that in the future, the General Administration of Customs will further promote the integration of customs and inspection, create a more advanced and internationally competitive customs supervision system and mechanism, and promote the modernization of Customs governance system and governance capacity.
